As a child, i had some toys that my parents bought for me, He-man and the masters of the universe, Transformers, G.I. Joe, jap toys etc...but there was one Christmas evening in my life, when i bought one action figure that came from my own earnings (well if thats what you call money i received as Christmas blessings from my aunts he he ;D ) and thats a Vintage Star Wars Darth Vader figure, it only costs P20 Philippine pesos back then at a toy stall in Philippine toys and Gifts Fair at philcite at that time...but you know after all those years after collecting lots of other toys like superheroes, movie/sports and music celebrities, robots, anime figs etc. i purposely neglected Star wars...i dunno why, maybe in my mind i thought the figs sucked and as a child i never really was able to get the star wars items i wanted, maybe cause they're too expensive among other things... Anyways 25 or so years after that fateful Christmas night, Im back where i started...back to buying star wars figures! I guess you could say the circle is complete, but just like a circle its a never ending cycle isn't it? Oh well thats the life of a toy geek...nevermind tho, i never thought star wars figs are so cooool since last i checked them...these newer renditions of the characters i loved are kick @$$ coooool!!! This is how i wanted to pose them when i was a kid, but at that time, toy technology and lack of articulation prevented me from recreating some scenes from the Star Wars movies... well what i cant do back then, i can surely do this time around! Thanks to Hasbro doing a fantastic job on the line! I never knew they were beginning to get this good..if you haven't checked the star wars line for quite some time, now is the time to do so, with ml articulation revolutionizing the toy industry, hasbro also followed suit, and the one that benefits, are us! Star wars fans! Check em out! (if you haven't already) There's a reason why star wars is still around, Its really a timeless tale everybody would surely love! And their figures rock!!!! ;D
Jedi training on Dagobah Battle Pack
great set to jumpstart my search for the new generation of SW figs!
Capture at Tantive IV and A new Hope Commemorative Tin sets
The capture at tantive is a great army builder battle pack, the storm troopers here are based on the VOTC stormtrooper versions and feature superb articulation for their size...while the commemorative tin sets are great renditions of main characters/troopers that is a must have for a star wars collection..
Return of the Jedi Commemorative Tin set
Features super posey biker scouts whooohooooo!!!! As a kid i was able to get a vintage biker scout with speeder bike, but i could vividly remember its just plain stupid lookin whenever id sit the biker scout on the speeder bike, his legs were protruding forwards due to the lack of articulation, i even broke my biker scouts legs because i was forcing the fig to sit upright that time hehe, well no more baby! Super posey biker scouts are bad@$$!!!! ;D
Ambush on Endor Original Trilogy set
Whats a biker scout without his speeder right? well this is the perfect set to get! I also need the ewoks from this set...nice set really...everything you need cept another Han Solo fig
Thanks to Kiko of PTK btw for the great deal on this set!
Original Trilogy Collection X-wing and OTC Luke Skywalker pilot gear
Got these back at 2004 just coz i wanted my very own xwing, but i didnt know back then that SW figs are already starting to get better!
The Saga Collection Leia in Boussh disguise, AOTC Electronic R2D2, and Dagobah luke OTC
Thanks to Ninocajaon for Boushh, and SW Idol Manny TK880 of ptk for R2D2!
As a kid Boussh is one of those cool figures i simply must have, but alas i wasnt able to get it, well another childhood dream come true eh? Boussh is a cool and mysterious bounty hunter which saved han solo in Return of the Jedi, actually i was kinda dissapointed when i saw that it was leia underneath that costume hehe, i was hoping he'd tango with Boba fett after freeing solo in carbonite! ;D I had an R2 fig, but this is a great R2 with electronic light and sound functions, last is this OTC Dagobah luke, the OTC line have long been sold out here in Manila, but suddenly this lone fig turns up in SM north (and sm north only! on sale price even! ), just in time when i was starting to re-collect the line, aahhh...the force does move in mysterious ways no?
Endor AT-AT (all terrain armored transport) with exclusive biker scout and AT-AT Driver
Aaaahhhhh the AT-AT..brings back lotsa memories...i remember seeing this loose at a Hong Kong toy shop, it looked so big back then it still looks too big now...an awesome vehicle with cool electronic features the legs even has ratchet joints that make posing this vehicle in a very stable position, and visually its just looks so freakin kewl, way way better shelf presence than my Balrog of moria fig hehe..
300th Figure Boba Fett
This was a Christmas Gift from my wife way back 2001 articulation is still not that good, but when displayed inside the box, it looks really great!
some loose pics..
hehe the comemorative tin sandtrooper has a balljointed head, just pop it off and put in my dagobah luke's head and presto! Super posey Luke in stormtrooper disguise! ;D
Trooper Transport!
"Join me, and together we will rule the galaxy!"
Biker scouts rock dang it!!!! They rock!!!
I just cant believe how stormtroopers are so cool nowadays...i just love posing these figs!
Well thats that...check back soon for new Star Wars toy additions! May the Force be with you! ;D Ha?! You knew that one was comin didn't you? sorry for the geeky ramblings hehe but thanks anyway for dropping by the site!
