Saint Seiya: Saint Cloth Myth

I was thinking I'll be having a hard time tracking down, as to what is considered as one of the holy grails of the Saint Cloth Myth line, but to my surprise, a friend from one of the local official Bandai distributors was able to get me one for a very.. very good Price!


Considered as the first "Saint Seiya Gods" from the Saint cloth myth line.


The fictional God who controls Death: Thanatos

Box is a little beat up, but for the price I got it, its a really good deal already!

Inside peek, features a bigger window box which would later on become the norm for Saint Cloth myth line's boxes for God Clothes. The Pegasus God cloth and the Poseidon royal ornament edition also uses the same sized window boxes.

Thanatos: god who controls death

One of Hades' underlings, but Thanatos, nor his brother Hypnos are not mere spectre's but rather, are gods themselves, and are considered as in the same league as that of Athena, Poseidon, etc.

Thanatos has but one special technique, known as "Terrible Providence". Indeed, this may be one of the most powerful techniques of the entire series: it takes form of an immensely powerful blast of energy of any form, be it a beam, an explosion or a number of energy blasts. Whatever the form, upon reaching the target the blast cripples their body and mind to the point of completely slaughtering them, annihilating the five senses at once while the mind is made instantly insane and the body is totally dismembered.

I wanted to remake the battle with Thanatos and the Bronze saints donning the Gold Clothes but was too lazy to set it up haha!

Will try to re-enact that scene in the near future when I'm not too busy, Thanks for looking!

Aries Surplice Object





The Previous Holy War Aries Gold Saint and Former Pope of Sanctuary, Ares Shion.





Hades, the ruler of the underworld struck a deal with Shion to claim Athena's head.
In exchange, Shion as well as several of Athena's deceased Gold and Silver saints will get a chance at immortality.
In order to carry out their mission the former saints of Athena were given surplices.
Cloth of armors exclusive to Hades' army of spectres.
Although dark in colors, These Cloths also shine with a different kind of Dark Glow, purplish in color, and more powerful than that of Athena's average Silver or Bronze Cloths.

With his Main attack "Stardust Revolution", Shion creates a miniature universe, conjuring stardust from stars and galaxies, allowing him to throw innumerable blows instantly.

Mu is the Present Gold Saint of the Aries Constellation.
While Shion is the Former Aries Gold Saint, also Mu's master and Original Grand Pope.






"The Old Pope's last words..."

"It is time to smash Hades's wild ambitions once and for all! Go forth to Hades castle and defeat Him!"

Although Shion and the other deceased saints of Athena struck a deal with Hades, this was merely a front for the former saints of Athena.
In truth, their loyalty was always with and have remained with their Goddess Athena.
Shion used the deal as an opportunity to be given life, a second "chance" to accomplish something that nobody knows about the present holy war..
A secret which only Shion being the former chosen Pope of the previous reincarnation of Athena, knows...
Athena's Cloth, The Glorious Armor of Athena is revived every 200 years. Shion knows Athena cannot stand up to hades without it, and Athena's blood is needed for its revival.

Celestial Fierce Star: Wyvern Rhadamanthys MIB

Wyvern Object

Wyvern Rhadamanthys of the Celestial Fierce Star is one of the Three Judges of hell. The three most powerful of Hades' Spectres.

I can say I'm very impressed with the diecast content of this figure, for his size, I think he's the second most heaviest Saint Cloth Myth figure that i have next to the Gold saint Taurus Aldebaran, but considering how big Aldebaran's figure is compared to Rhadamanthys, then you'll realize how much diecast content this figure has. The wing's aren't diecast but the frame of the wings are ALL made of diecast. Most of the Surplice also has a hefty amount of diecast on it.

Even the wyvern object is impressive, it is by far the biggest and heaviest Saint Cloth Myth Object I have ever put together!

"The Wyvern has but one known technique he utilizes to destroy the opposition -- the "Greatest Caution". It is a wind-type move that charges up Rhadamanthys' Cosmo to the highest point of power, then unleashed at a central point via two opened palms. The opponent becomes helpless as powerful typhoon-like winds blast them into oblivion. It can take two forms: a dark energy blast, or the form of Rhadamanthys' spirit, the mythical Wyvern."





Gold Saint Killer

Because of the Underworld Barrier that was protecting Hades Castle, and reducing the Gold Saints' Cosmos to merely 10% of their original power, Rhadamanthys was able to defeat and kill The Three Gold Saints Aries Mu, Leo Aiolia and Scorpio Miro.
